I can't say what "all" the solution will be, but I can say part of it will be - regular people, making our own stuff. Stuff like alcohol to run internal combustion engines. Building and using solar, wind and the like to produce our own electricity. Even if we can't get off the grid and off the pump overnight we'll learn something about "making our own world". Right now we're dependent. People, not corporations, build extra-orbital vessels, people builds ships, cars, telephones....people build everything that gets built. But people don't control any of it. Making things for ourselves, and using it, is a step toward regaining control over our lives.

Crowbar: 9/11 was OUR bungle -- the FBI that couldn't be bothered to read and respond to the field agents' warnings about the foreign rogues seeking flight training for steering lessons only; the CIA that wouldn't stoop to communicate with the FBI and vice versa; the overgrown adolescent W and his minions who couldn't bother with prior warnings. Help save public education from privatization. Educating our children, really educating them, not testing them is all we can do now.

And that mentality has us setting up garrisons all over the world, the money for which should have been spent on our citizens and domestic issues (or at least not spent to reduce our budget deficits)... not on serving the interests of corporations snatching cheap labor and resources from other countries.

Wikileaks offerings are important because they substantiate the depth of the illegality of the Iraq (and Afghan) war that the Bush Administration lied us into. Subsequently, the Obama Administration contributed to the lie by: continuing the wars; refusing to investigate why we invaded Iraq; refusing to prosecute former Attorney General Ashcroft for premeditated crimes; and the reasons could go on and on.
Where the hell are the people I voted for in the last election? Are they blind? Dumb? Striving to become insiders with the international corporations that get rich with war.
Somehow Obama must be convinced that he has the support to buck the Military/Industrial/Financial Complex that is destroying our earth.

So some of the Repugnicans who think they should be elected want to impeach ouro (finally, DULY) elected President Obama, but they would have fought against impeaching Dick Cheney and little Goerge who lied us into these two immoral and unfounded wars.

Obama should have immediately encouraged impeachment proceedings and called an immediate halt to all hostilities against Iraq, hostilities which have been proven to have inflamed and strengthened the cause of el Quaid.

If things continue to go the way they have since the theft of the election in 2000 then we are doomed. We gave the Democrats the ability to do something about Bush/Cheney in 2006 and the moment they took control they told us, not in so many words, to go to hell if we were expecting justice to be done. We gave the Democrats another opportunity to once again show the world that America is not a criminal nation, by going after the Bush Crime Syndicate in 2009, yet again we were told that if we're looking for justice we'd better forget it. So what can we do? It's apparent the system is broken beyond repair and we need to start over again. And this is the difficult part, those who have gamed the system to achieve their lofty positions will fight every effort for change. Obama promised us change, while at the same time siding with status quo, and now he's imploring us to get out there and vote so that he and his cohorts can continue the slide into mediocrity, initiated and accelerated by the Repuglicons. Much as I dislike what the spineless Democrats have done with the mandate we gave them, in the short term we have to vote Democrat in order to keep those rabid lunatics who are bent on destroying this country, out of office. In the long term we need to elect people who will do what they promise, and those who cannot promise to do their best for this nation should not be elected; and by promise I don't mean hot air, we need concrete and demonstrable plans on how they would govern, given the opportunity.

For those who are criticizing Wiki-Leaks, please consider this. The 100,000 plus civilians killed by American and allied troops had families, friends, and neighbors, all of whom know the truth. To think that without Wiki-Leaks' release of these files, the world wouldn't know of the horrors we committed, is pure folly. At least now we can have an open debate and understand why we are more and more hated in the world.
