In his memoir (which some wise people have already moved in bookstores to the CRIME section) George W. Bush admitted that he authorized that detainees be waterboarded, tortured, a crime under US and international law.

Bush's crime confession coincides with reports that no one will face criminal charges from the US Department of Justice for the destruction of 92 CIA videotapes which contained interrogations using waterboarding.

Where is the accountability for these crimes?

Also see: "Special Prosecutor Declines to File Criminal Charges Over Destruction of CIA Torture Tapes"

Bush and other criminals will be brought to justice if the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) have their way.

CCR and ECCHR jointly intervened into a criminal investigation in Spain examining the role of former civilian and military officials from the Bush administration in the commission of international law violations, including torture. The investigation is ongoing and includes the crimes that Bush admitted he authorized.

CCR and ECCHR made it clear that they are committed to pursuing criminal accountability and Bush's confessions help. In a joint statement they said:

"As Attorney General Eric Holder stated during his confirmation hearings, waterboarding is torture. Calling these acts what they are, torture, is not the result of differing legal 'opinion,' as Bush states; it is a matter of law. Harold Koh, the State Department Legal Adviser, confirmed this in Geneva last week, stating during the U.S. Universal Periodic Review that "the Obama administration defines waterboarding as torture as a matter of law" and it is not a 'policy choice.'

"There are no circumstances or excuses - including 'national security' - under domestic and international law that allow for the use of torture. And there is an obligation to investigate and prosecute torture.

"Bush's decision to authorize torture and other illegal acts against detainees held in U.S. custody led to the use of torture at Guantánamo, in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in secret prisons by U.S. forces, and contractors, certain allies and the national forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. His decision led to Abu Ghraib.

"Debates as to whether or not waterboarding of detainees led to intelligence or make the nation 'safer' are not relevant questions. The only valid question is: can we torture? The answer is no.

"Without accountability it is impossible to ensure that such actions are never authorized by any future president or other U.S. official. No immunity protects Bush from prosecution for acts which violate federal and international law. The Pinochet precedent demonstrates that the law eventually catches up with former presidents - even those who flout their impunity.

"Bush states that accountability 'would set a terrible precedent for our democracy.'

"We answer that not doing so is failing our democracy - yet again. We therefore urge the Obama administration and the Department of Justice to act upon their recognition that waterboarding is torture as a matter of law, to investigate and prosecute acts of torture and other serious violations carried out by officials of the former administration, including George W. Bush.

"But we will not wait any longer for the Obama administration to act - we will continue seeking justice and accountability under the principle of universal jurisdiction and as counsel in the ongoing investigation in Spain."

PUT ALL THOSE SONS OF

PUT ALL THOSE SONS OF BITCHES IN JAIL. CHENEY FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The International Court of

The International Court of Justice must be approached on behalf of the American people and the people of the world to bring charges against DICK/Bush & Co. for crimes against humanity, for being asleep at the wheels when 911 happened, and for failing to testify under oath about the 911 incident, for invading two countries under false pretenses (never proven that Afghans attacked the US) or the presence of WMD in Iraq (it is OK for Israel to have WMD but not Iraq)? For hauling away the evidence of crime (twin tower debris), for torturing and killing innocent people under torture. We need to have Nuremberg style trials for all criminals of that era, NOT in the US but at Hague!

He was massively supported

He was massively supported and reelected. Everybody, including the democrats in congress new what he was doing. The docile european governments accept anything we say. He was divinely inspired. So there is no ground for prosecution. Divine law is above the law enacted by men. Bush like Blair is above the law. Being the King, the “Decider” “l’etat ce moi”, he decided to make his own law with Gonzales’ legal erudition. His law superseded the Geneva Convention and any other national or international law he considered useless. The UN was muted, with tacit agreement. Hard to swallow but it is a waste of time to entertain the idea of prosecuting him. Like Blair or Asnar. Quite probably they will be awarded the Nobel for their contribution to the advancement of the international law.

What a piece of toilet paper

What a piece of toilet paper that book is. I love what Bush told Oprah..."Never sell your soul for popularity!" That's right George knows what to sell his soul for MONEY!

NO WMD? hey, that OK, while we are here let's steal their oil.

Don't forget Henry Kissinger!

Don't forget Henry Kissinger!

My understanding is that the

My understanding is that the International Court of Justice treaty was signed by the U.S. but not ratified; the U.S. withdrew from jurisdiction in 1986 from the older International Criminal Court (following the covert war in Nicaragua). Therefore, these courts don't have jurisdiction.

I believe it is up to us.

Before you get too carried

Before you get too carried away, please go to youtube and do a search under WATERBOARDING, there are several different variations shown. None of them threaten the life of the subject, the technic simply scares the hell out of him, and it only takes 10 seconds. If this technic saves even one GI's life with the knowledge gained it is worth it. If you have no idea what WATERBOARDING actually is, you should not be commenting on this topic.

I know what waterboarding is

I know what waterboarding is Midwest Tom. The victim is strapped down to a board and his lungs are poured full of water. He begins to drown. ACTUALLY drown. If his torturers lack skill and wait too long to tip him up with their handy board and pour the water out of his lungs he does drown. There has been a propaganda campaign to give the impression that cloths were merely placed over the victim's face and water poured over the cloth, but that was just propaganda. It was not for no reason that the tapes showing the real process were destroyed. They must have been quite horrible.

Waterboarding is a particularly heinous torture exactly because it can be repeated with relatively small risk of killing the victim. But don't try to minimize the fact that it is torture until you can demonstrate sticking your head under water and sucking your lungs full. Be sure to have someone make a video and put it on youtube.

How anyone can be "proud to be an American" under our despicable government is beyond me. It's Veteran's Day today, and I'm a veteran. Let me tell you that there is no way in hell that I would lift a finger to help this country now. I can hardly wait to escape it for a civilized country. My level of disgust with America knows no bounds.

For Midwest Tom: If you

For Midwest Tom:

If you believe waterboarding is so benign I'd love to give you a demonstration. Just name the time and place. But don't expect you fantasy 10 minute demo.

The World needs Justice for

The World needs Justice for all of the innocent deaths, torture and mutilations!!!!

@Midwest Tom: Last time we

@Midwest Tom: Last time we heard from you here, you were defending war and now you are defending torture. I can see that you are one of those ghoulish people who think that pain and suffering, death, earth killing and other bad stuff is fine, especially if it doesn't happen to you. I feel sorry for you. It must be really harsh to not have a conscience or a heart.

I think someone needs to

I think someone needs to grab Midwest Tom, throw a hood over his head, shackle him in a stress position for a few days while taking him to a black site where he could experience teh joy of waterboarding first hand maybe 10-30 times over a period of a few weeks. I guarantee that this asshole would come back with a whole different opinion about whether waterboarding was torture or not!! What a goofball...

Midwest Tom, you seem to be

Midwest Tom, you seem to be an expert. Fine, you are entitled to your opinion. Would you agree and justify any other government applying it to anyone of us? Would you recommend opening waterboarding facilities in all courts to facilitate the “spill of beans” of any defendant who declares himself not guilty? The problem is that we have opened the door for other to follow the same path and we will have no legal stance against them. This should be a matter of concern for us.

Midwest Dolt. Torture

Midwest Dolt. Torture doesn't have to be life threatening to be torture you simpleton. If I gouge out your eyes and you live, then I haven't tortured you under your definition. What a bone head.

Thank you for having Bill

Thank you for having Bill Quigley as one of your columnists. I admire his work as a lawyer on behalf of social justice.

The world knows what GWBush

The world knows what GWBush did, and the world knows that Obama has said there would be no investigation. It is long past time for Obama to rescind his statement.

I just love a good

I just love a good confession, especially the part about how history will remember him in a good light, all his crimes against humanity, treason, torture, mass murder, will history forgive him? This sounds all too much like the usual setup, bait the people by admitting to illegal acts, then reveal a falsified piece of intelligence justifying those very acts.
One Idea comes to mind. Remember the twin towers collapse, and how the 911 commission, NIST, FEMA all claimed it was jet fuel/office fires and warped steel which lead to global collapse or the "pancake theory"?
Over a third of the U.S. calls bullshit on that story. Including scientists, engineers, and physicists who beleive something entirely else, something quite sinister was at play on that fateful day.

I can see the headlines now," FBI finds evidence that Saddam nuked the twin towers, mystery solved"!

the only place he can escape

the only place he can escape to is Paraguay- he already has property down there and the USA has NO extradition treaty with them. get him soon.

we don't need no stinkin'

we don't need no stinkin' investigation. we know he did it, he has said so himself, lock his sorry butt up.

Are there no Mental

Are there no Mental Institutions in the USA?

Waterboarding is torture. At

Waterboarding is torture. At the end of WWII we tried and executed numerous Japanese commanders for using the technique on Americans. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Even with all the proof of

Even with all the proof of guilt, nothing these international courts do will put any of them behind bars. Stop wasting time and spend these resources on something realistic. The Bush's and Cheney's have to much money and power to be punished. It's sad but true. Get used to it. Until we tear down the upper class they will always be above our laws.

Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld

Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld are all responsible for war crimes against humanity.
They all need to be tried at the Hague, just like the Nazis were in Nuremberg.
Justice, must be done for the people of Iraq, for the Iraqi and American soldiers that have died in this Illegal War.
If justice is not done, If these criminals are not brought to justice for the crimes that they have committed against humanity, then the World will completely reject the Rule of Law that America stands for!!!
The Rule of Law, Our Democracy, and Our U.S. Congress must immediately act and comply with the International Court of Justice, to punish these men for the crimes that they have committed.

"Don't forget Henry

"Don't forget Henry Kissinger" Yes, he was indicted for murder (a Chilean General who refused to kill Allende) in Federal Court in Washington D.C. about four years ago. Think he will ever appear in Court, think George Bush will ever appear in Court. THINK AGAIN.

Those two criminals in the

Those two criminals in the last White House gave the green light to waterboarding without regard to how it would have impacted on our troops, nor did they seem to care.
As a Veteran of WW2, I have seen Presidents come and go but I think George is the worst.

Just to clear up an

Just to clear up an important point....It is proven that any 'information' gleaned from torture, (and "Yes, Mabel, that includes waterboarding.") is suspect. That's because it is probably false and inaccurate.
The reason is simple. Once torture is implemented, the person being tortured only wants one thing - for the torture to stop - and will say anything or do anything for that to happen.
So please, do not continue to espouse the idea that torture is a practical or even useful way to obtain information in order to save American lives or whatever.
One cannot defend it as perhaps contributing to a 'higher-good'.
Torture is sadism - pure and simple.

"Death camps are fake", the"

"Death camps are fake", the" moon lannding an elaborate hoax", "JFK shot by a lone gunman" and now "Waterboarding is not torture". Coming up next "Water is not wet".

Ignoring the fact that this

Ignoring the fact that this article is at risk of beating a dead horse, I'll join in...

For those who think George W. Bush was not the worst president in our history, you are missing something.

-The man authorized the Patriot Act, a piece of legislation so undermining of our privacy that the only way he was able to get it to pass was to label it in such a way that it frightened people who didn't sign it. Top information analysts have said again and again that the process used to extract information not only violates privacy left and right, but results in mixed intel where the truth is hard to sort out.

-He authorized torture, an internationally-denounced method of interrogation that results what can barely be called 'intel', usually said just to get out of the torture. He then had people jumping to the defense of a war crime in the name of patriotism, making a slur of our country's name.

-He put the world at war for mixed reasons and with limited knowledge of what he was getting us into. Whether or not he was chasing oil, whether or not there were WMDs, whether or not terrorists were in control of Iraq, he sent the men and women of our armed forces to fight in a war we could not win for no particular cause other than patriotism.

But the bottom line? The lowest he could go? He resisted opposition through fear. He declared those who opposed him "unAmerican", used his mixed intel to scare the American people into a needless war, and constantly expressed staunch conservative positions. No wonder the country reacted by electing his party's opposition.

Waterboarding? How about the

Waterboarding? How about the treason and murder of 9/11 that was planned and executed by the neocons? Oh, excuse me for mentioning it. The truth of the 9/11 coup is so inconvenient. Better to squabble about a bit of torture.

Our government is not

Our government is not obeying the law. You are no longer "free" in America, your rights have been taken away and they are not being restored. It's time to look elsewhere.

"We therefore urge the Obama

"We therefore urge the Obama administration and the Department of Justice to act upon their recognition that waterboarding is torture as a matter of law, to investigate and prosecute acts of torture and other serious violations carried out by officials of the former administration, including George W. Bush."
Hahahaha hahaha hahahaha hahaha.....phew...man.. that is the comedic quote of the 21st century. Never gonna happen America, law and fight left this sorry ass country long ago.

The most important point is,

The most important point is, if these heinous, obscene, extreme criminals aren't held truly accountable for their many crimes, very soon torture will be condoned and used right here in the U.S., if it isn't already. Or, more accurately, since it is already taking place in both federal and state prisons in the U.S., and is already being used by police in many parts of the country, it will occur to an ever increasing extent in the U.S., and it will come to the point where it will be so widespread that it will not be able to be stopped, if it isn't already to that point.

perhaps Obama was

perhaps Obama was waterboarded

This is for Midwest Tom's

This is for Midwest Tom's consumption. I am a WWII combat veteran which makes me quite old but still fit enough to accommodate your needs . I will be ecstatic to hold you down for a
demo of water boarding of no matter what duration
'

For Midwest Tom:

If you believe waterboarding is so benign I'd love to give you a demonstration. Just name the time and place. But don't expect you fantasy 10 minute demo.

Is your name Obama?

Is your name Obama?

While I'm not excusing Bush,

While I'm not excusing Bush, but, don't you people have other problems in the world to worry about? This is just old, nothing is going to happen.

The truth of the matter is

The truth of the matter is that 9-11 was and is an inside job. The evidence clearly shows that the official explanation is a myth and that our ongoing wars and occupations are crimes. Firemen, pilots, architects and engineers, phyicists, and those in military and intelligence have all brought forward evidence that our government and our media are lieing. This holiday , give your friends and family something that will renew their souls and save America from itself, give them the truth. 9-11 was an inside job.

A newly elected Republican

A newly elected Republican congressman said in a little-noticed interview Tuesday he'd have "no hesitation whatsoever" in beginning an investigation of the former President George W. Bush for torture.

Appearing on MSNBC's The Dylan Rattigan show, GOP Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), who also serves on the House Government Oversight Committee, said he'd be more than willing to join a torture probe.

Face it. Americans are

Face it. Americans are mostly abysmally ignorant people who don't really give a s__t about human rights, our Constitutional rights, and justice. As far as I can tell, we are living in 1920s Germany. The rest are not ignorant but care more about making money and staying on top than about a country where equality, human rights, and opportunity exist. I haven't given up yet, but I would leave this so-called democracy in a second if I didn't have to leave some of my children and grandchildren. As a result, I'm more than willing to get arrested and go to jail. Anyone care to join me? Nothing will change unless we start sitting in and putting our bodies on the line.

But, gee whiz, don't ya see:

But, gee whiz, don't ya see: without the use of waterboarding and other means of torture, the government could not have gotten any confessions from the "terrorists" that they really didn't know anything about.

There must have been other terrorists involved in 9/11!!!

911 I wonder if we will ever

911 I wonder if we will ever do a investagation as to why the building fell the way they did?????
Hopefully W will have his day in court in Spain to explain it all!!

So right, "Anonymous @ Sat,

So right, "Anonymous @ Sat, 11/13/2010 - 05:50"! This country, the U.S., is de-evolving and/or degenerating into a corporate-fascist, totalitarian militarized police state more and more every day, and most "Americans" don't care. They just want to know what's on next on TV, or what the next great trip to go fishing or to go ATVing is going to be and where, etc. They actually feel threatened when people talk about what's really going on; and, not only do they think those who do so are "weird" and "crazy", they think they may be "traitors" to the country, "want to overthrow the government", are potential "terrorists" and/or "aiding the enemy", or just simply "talking about things they're not supposed to talk about". That's how intentionally dumbed-down this nation has become.

You're very right, millions of us have to put our very bodies on the line; and no one should give up, ever; but it very much looks like even that isn't going to make a difference, because most people would rather sell their souls to materialism, narcissism, self-centeredness, selfishness, pleasure seeking, lust, using other people, letting themselves be used, bowing down to and/or ignoring the authoritarianism and increasing totalitarianism in the U.S., et cetera, et cetera. In my small town community I feel so alone because I haven't met one person who really cares about what this country is degenerating and/or de-evolving into; so, to try to keep myself from being lynched or taken out and shot in the head someplace, framed for something I didn't do, falsely arrested, terrorized, tortured, kept locked up indefinitely, or "ridden out of town on a rail", and to keep my sanity, I pretty much have to stay to myself.

Don't get me wrong, I try to talk to people about what's really going on every chance I get; but then, when I come back in to establishments they work in, etc., they look at me like I'm from another planet and like they're in fear 1.) that I'm going to speak some more truth to them that they've never heard before, or heard very little of, and that they don't want to hear; 2.) that I'm going to pull out a gun and gun them down (I've never owned a gun in my life; I don't own any now; and I don't have the least bit of a desire to harm anyone); and/or 3.) that I'm going to come in with members of "al Q'aeda", or they're going to join me, and "we're going to plant a bomb and bomb the place".

This is what most so-called "Americans" in this country, by design of the powers-that-be, have de-evolved and/or degenerated into, including and especially "law enforcement personnel". All they want to talk about is "nothing". Nothing that is of any real importance; and, when they do talk about something important such as completely innocent people being visited by the U.S. government, they like to presume those people guilty in violation the Constitution(s), both state and federal. They have been intentionally made and/or programmed, indoctrinated and conditioned to be this way, so I do have compassion for them; but, dear God, how do you wake such people up short of a literal miracle waking them up?! Answer? Most of them you don't. It's truly scary. They will sell you out in a second. So how can you talk to them? If you do, you're literally putting your liberty and very life on the line.

Just for speaking nothing but the truth, I know without any doubt (no paranoia) that there are people in my community who would love to harm me, and/or to to see me taken away or "just disappear(ed)", and they've probably already called the local police and/or "Homeland Security" about me, and are keeping an eye on me for them, even though I've threatened no one and have done nothing illegal. Heck, even the civil libertarians like those who run the ACLU, and top intellectuals like Noam Chomsky, refuse to face that the U.S. government carried out 9/11, and don't want to get to the bottom of it, and/or don't believe that the U.S. IS being turned into a fascist police state, etc. Thus, we're already in hell on earth. [But thank God truly-intelligent people like Cindy Sheehan, who see through all of the government's despotism, tyranny and treason, and oppressive and repressive shenanigans, as well as the fact that it's getting worse and worse, now face the fact(s) that 9/11 was DEFINITELY an inside job!]

You're also right about the U.S. now being Germany when the Nazis were rising to complete power, except we're now in early 1930s Germany right now, not 1920s, IMHO. Very soon, the present-day "Gestapo" is going to come take liberty and freedom activists away, and take away everyone and anyone who doesn't bow down to the state. So, like with Jews and others who got out of Germany before they weren't allowed to leave, it's time to get out of the U.S. now before it's too late. Don't put it off, because the borders will be closed very soon, as soon as martial law is declared publicly, which it will be very soon, probably at the time of the very next "false-flag" 'terrorist' attack in the U.S., carried out by the U.S. government as 9/11 was. Personally, I believe we're already under martial law, but it just hasn't become obvious, and/or hasn't been declared publicly, yet.

Well, for most of the brain-dead and/or "washed-of-brains" morons and "useful/useless idiots" out there, I'll put my "tinfoil hat" back on, go back to studying every day what's really going on, end this particular attempt to wake them up to reality, and shut-up; so then they can "blissfully" go back to pretending and/or acting like everything's supposedly "hunky-dory", like "there's nothing to worry about", and like "changing the channel will (supposedly) make everything okay". And by the time they're standing in breadlines and can't get any work except working for the government helping them cement the martial law, absolute tyranny, complete subjugation, total control, "disappearances" of all dissenters and/or those who refuse to bow down, etc., it will be much too late. After all, what else is there for True Americans to do but shut-up and/or die, right? This is the reality we're living under right now. The "good Germans", like the "good Americans" today, didn't believe it either until it was far too late...

...["Dear" 'Homeland

...["Dear" 'Homeland Security (DHS)', if you come to visit me without Constitutional, true and/or just cause again, pursuant to my un- and/or in- alienable and immutable God-given Human and Civil Duties and/or Rights under the First and Fifth Amendments of the U.S. and State Constitutions to remain silent, etc., and under advice of legal counsel, I'm not going to answer any of your questions, so you might as well "disappear" me at that time and "get it over with". Besides, you cannot have any legitimate reason(s) for visiting me, because I don't do, and am not doing, ANYTHING wrong. All I do is, completely non-violently stand up for THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND, the U.S. Constitution; and, contrary to agencies like your's making it out to supposedly be such, standing up for the Constitution is NOT a crime. In fact, it is THE DUTY OF EVERY SINGLY AMERICAN, including each and every one of you DHS, etc., officers, to do:

"...(W)hen a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce (The People) under absolute Despotism (as IS happening right now), it is their right, IT IS THEIR DUTY, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security (and liberty, freedom and happiness)..."! --Declaration of Independence, 1776. [Emphasis and/or clarification(s) added by me.] Since the Declaration of Independence is joined to the U.S. Constitution under the Supremecy Clause of the latter, it is part and parcel of the Constitution, and it is part of the Supreme LAW of the Land just like the rest of the Constitution; therefore, it is also the DUTY of every single American including government officers to OBEY it, just as it is their DUTY to obey ALL of the Constitution.

You should be visiting Barry Soetoro, aka Barach Obama. He is openly advocating destroying the sovereignty and independence of the U.S., and bringing the U.S. under one-world government, which is a blatant violation of the Supreme Law of the Land, the U.S. Constitution, and therefore is treason, thereby making him a traitor to the Constitution and to the United States as a whole. But, no, instead you are visiting millions of completely innocent Americans, like the "brownshirts" and Gestapo visited, and eventually "disappeared", completely innocent German citizens in Nazi Germany; and even though most of those completely innocent Americans, like myself, do NOT violate the U.S. Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land, do NOT call for the eradication of U.S. independence and sovereignty, and therefore are NOT traitors like Barach Obama.

Yet you treat those innocent Americans like they are supposedly violating the law simply for standing up for the Supreme Law of the Land, the U.S. Constitution. But your doing so is traitorousness in and of itself; and, if you wish to be True Americans, you must stop ALL of this unconstitutional and criminal activity against the American people, even if it means having to quit working for, or being fired by, the U.S. government. If you do not stop being involved in ANY AND ALL unconstitutional and criminal activity(ies), you are committing treason against the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the U.S., against the country itself, and against the American people.

In other words, you should be going after the REAL criminals, and the REAL terorists, and stop making law abiding Constitutionalists out to be so-called "terrorists" and visiting them to ascertain if they're a "threat". It is obvious that they are no true threat, unless of course you are seeking to criminalize, being a direct part of criminalizing, and/or are enforcing the criminalization of, people for being nothing but anti-violence, and non-violently standing up against the true criminal activities against the Supreme Law of the Land, the U.S. Constitution; which, as already spelled out above, they have the DUTY to do if they are True Americans, and which you also have the DUTY to do if you are to be True Americans.

But because most of you will not stop all of the true terrorism and treason you are perpetrating against the American people and the the U.S. Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land, the following is for you and all those who do not realize the complete accuracy, truthfulness and True Patriotism of all that has been written here, totally agree with it, completely stand by it and what it says, and/or totally support the right to say it even if you don't entirely agree with all of it, without ANY retribution and/or retaliation by the U.S. government for stating it:

"It is written, thus says the Lord {God through Jesus the Christ, the Word(s) of God, and the Maker / Creator of all things except evil}...": "...Get... behind Jesus the Christ, Satan{ist(s), which you are whether you know it or not}..."! "...You are of your father the devil, and {you perpetrate} the lies {and violations of, as well as crimes against, the U.S. Constitution(s), in addition to unconstitutional and otherwise illegal and/or unlawful criminal activities, and human rights and civil liberties violations} of your father {that make all of you traitors to God; We, the People; the country; the U.S. Constitution; the State Constitutions; and to the entire world (again, whether you know it or not)}..."! Legal disclaimer: The stating and/or quotation of the foregoing is nothing but my legal duty and right to quote, say and/or to write to the government, under the freedom of religion, belief, expression, speech and redress of grievance clauses of the First Amendment of the federal and state Constitutions.

Midwest Tom: ----- We could

Midwest Tom: ----- We could have saved thousands of soldiers' lives plus hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's lives had Bush/Cheney not started these illegal wars based on lies. As for Congress, what did they really know? The same crap that was shoved down our throats by the "accommodating media"??? Then there's the case of the Anthrax letters mailed to Democratic Senators when they refused to go along with the Patriot Act. There are ways to coerce besides waterboarding .... and such tactics accomplished what Bush/Cheney planned even before they took office.

No, Anonymous on 11/13 at 3:10 - It is most worthwhile to hold accountable the criminals who have nearly destroyed everything good about America. The Hague awaits.

Dear Genklag: Don't forget

Dear Genklag: Don't forget "The Earth Is Flat".

Dear Shawn: Don't forget

Dear Shawn: Don't forget Addington. David Addington has been the linchpin of many, many, many Bush/Cheney crimes.

CORRECTION (adding the

CORRECTION (adding the references for the Scripture verses that I meant to give, but neglected to---also, there are a couple of other grammatical mistakes I made, which I think are more than obvious, but it's too much to correct them and re-post the whole comment, so I'll only make this correction):

{Matthew 16:23 and John 8:44; etc.; emphasis and/or clarification(s) added by me.} Legal disclaimer: The stating and/or quotation of the foregoing is nothing but my legal duty and right to quote, say and/or to write to the government, under the freedom of religion, belief, expression, speech and redress of grievance clauses of the First Amendment of the federal and state Constitutions...

...[And give you, Frances,

...[And give you, Frances, etc., more so-called "ammunition" to call me a nutcase, again in your case Frances... Of course, Jesus the Christ Himself must have been a nutcase too, according to your and other such Godless peoples' "logic"---even though He most-definitely was NOT---to constantly quote the Scriptures of the Old Testament when He walked the earth in the flesh {as you can see Him quoted as quoting said Old Testament Scriptures throughout the Gospels, the first four books of the New Testament, the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John}...

...And, also according to

...And, also according to Godless peoples' "logic", all of the Apostles must have been so-called "nutcases" too, who further quoted the Old Testament throughout their God-inspired writings throughout the New Testament; particularly the Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament (but including the Apostles, James, Peter, John, and Jude, etc.); as well as, though they did not contribute to the writing of the New Testament, countless disciples who undoubtedly quoted the Old Testament when they "witnessed of Jesus the Christ" to people; not to mention the millions of people who have believed wholeheartedly in Christianity, and quoted the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, ever since...

...In addition, the

...In addition, the Scriptures themselves also give a mandate, and make it the DUTY of ALL believers in Jesus the Christ and Christianity, to quote the Scriptures, and to rebuke evil by quoting them; so people doing so, including myself, are simply fulfilling their God-given duty to do so, and they are NOT "nutcases" for doing so. But, no doubt, you Godless people will not be convinced that they and/or we are not; unless of course you come to be no longer Godless, which most of you will not either...

...And, lest someone (and/or

...And, lest someone (and/or some people) falsely claim that this subject matter is allegedly not germain to, on-topic and/or related to the material in the article which brought about this thread, it most-certainly IS pertinent and related to the topic of the article and this thread, as is God's Word(s) TO EVERYTHING, and most-particularly to discussions of torture and humankind's inhumanity to their fellow-humankind. Therefore, I am NOT off-topic. In fact, the entire comment that I made above for which this correction is added, is completely pertinent to the subject matter at hand, especially the destruction of the rule of law, human rights, civil liberties, and the totally-evil rationalizations for torture, such crimes against God, human rights violations, crimes against humanity, and crimes against the Law(s) of God, against international law(s), against the against the people of the entire world, against the entire world as a whole, against the U.S. Constitution, against other U.S. law(s), against The People of the U.S., and against the country of the U.S. as a whole.

Please forgive any (other) grammatical mistakes that I may have made which I did not catch and/or correct. Thank you.]
