It's a pretty sad comment on the state of America. The regressive Republi-WON'T Party of NO! will do ANYTHING for their wealthy Masters but continue to defecate on the rest of the American citizenry already overburdened by the lack of governance and refusal to work with our President to fix all the mayhem incurred by Bush/Cheney & Co. I'm glad I don't have much more time on this mortal coil to suffer the consequences of their short-sighted, "Me First", "I'm up, Pull up the rope" behaviors. So much for "Of, By, and For the People. In the regressive's World it's only the RICH who deserve a say in Government. The rest of us "little people" will have to wait for the "trickle down".
The Republicans are waging class warfare on behalf of the obscenely wealthy against the rest of us. It's that simple. Why do we never hear an elected Democrat saying that? Unfortunately they are bought and bribed just like the Republicans. The Dems just aren't quite as enthusiastic for the task of fleecing the millions to further enrich the obscenely wealthy.
Things will not change so long as we continue to vote for Democrats or Republicans as if they were genuinely alternatives to each other.

Civic education in the US is so bad that citizen voters don't even see the message of the cartoon. The "civics" teachers themselves did not have a good general education. They peddle a few "patriotic" slogans and send the high school grads off to kill and be killed in places they could not even locate on a map before that. They themselves do not know the history of the human race much less international relations and international law. They do not know what the Court did in Citizens United which took away the power of national, state and local legislators to control political spending by corporations. The teachers themselves are taken in by Republican statements that taxing the wealthy will keep them from "producing jobs."
