That is awful !!!! It is not the soft innocent face of a 9 year old. it looks like the pinched face of a 30 or 40 year old.
It isn't awful at all. This is Stephen Pitt's way of expressing something about the shooting and specifically about this child. He isn't making a soft or innocent comment. The child was gunned down. Her legacy is far more complex than "innocence" or even "innocence lost."
It poignantly shows what she could, and should have become. Well done, Stephen.
She was born on 9-11, in spite of terrorism, and then killed senselessly, in an act of terrorism. In some ways, her life and death shows that terrorism knows no national identity.
I thought it was disgusting how FOX news exploited the father's grief for an "on the spot" interview about gun control. Sometimes crime victims and their families run for guns; sometimes they scourge them. But whatever they choose or do, they are not in rational state ITO representing the best course of action of these issues.
Her father sounds like a beautiful person, and one of the reasons this little girl was, too. I just read that her organs were donated to another little girl in Boston; bless her family for making something meaningful out of something so tragic.
I was recently the recipient of blood donations. I silently said a thanks to whoever was willing to give me their blood. Now they are a part of me, whoever they are out there. I hope I can one day return the favor to someone else.

The cop came, and found a prostrate, bleeding Montagu supported by 3 distrait and reticent followers in the House.
