Six By Twelve, cartoon by Stephen Pitt

For over six months Bradley Manning has spent twenty three hours a day in solitary confinement in a six by 12 foot cell, under unrelenting lights, with neither pillow nor sheet, waiting to be tried. Is the U.S. government attempting to compel Manning to make possible false confessions that would implicate Julian Assange and WikiLeaks?

Isolating Manning will only

Isolating Manning will only create more supporters. Haven't all the decades of protest taught Obama and Holder anything?

Protest? What protest? Most

Protest? What protest? Most are too abused and shell-shocked to even notice when evil is done in their name......

That's the problem; there

That's the problem; there are no protests. There is no mass struggle. There is no meaningful resistance. North American workers are the most docile on the planet. Is it that so-called "rugged" individualism that keeps everyone from considering collective action to achieve justice? Yawn, okay everyone, go back to whatever you were doing - preferably shopping. Big Brother will take care of everything. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

It's not called security for

It's not called security for our benefit. It's called security because it is scary to be jailed indefinatly without charge, firefighter neighbors trained to report "suspicous" activity, and air port x-ray and patdowns. It scares us into submission and secures the elites, moneyed ones hegonamy(power).

But it isn't their power, it is our fear that permits these transgressions of the Constitution. The response to fear is training and preparation, not freeze, not mesmerize. Ask a lawyer, General or diplomat (real ones, not these purchased moles).

'All politicians are

'All politicians are insane.''--Mark Twain

The hysterical reaction by

The hysterical reaction by the government and punishment of Manning is disproportionate to the content released. Name one person on the plant who is surprised by the Wikileaks information. The outrage and fear of the Pentagon and State Department is tied to the audacity of Manning and Assange to challenge the omnipotence of the power-hoarders and to send a devastating message to future "leakers". Plain and simple, it's an auto-de-fe.

Is there a "Free Bradley

Is there a "Free Bradley Manning" website yet?
HOw many commentators have called their senators and reps and the white house to voice their objections to this cruelty?
Could be it's time for those who care to speak up. The problem I see is that every time we object to anything DC does, we get on someone else's list for collection and transportation to some equally vile place.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.It;s more like another place I won't mention the name of, as it will bring the nuts out of the trees.......
