Conservatives don't destroy

Conservatives don't destroy the museum of antiquities in the heart of ancient civilization and then sit back and say, "Shit Happens."

Garrett Connelly- How many

Garrett Connelly-
How many ancient antiquities were destroyed in the invasion of Iraq?

Here are some examples of

Here are some examples of Sharia we already have had in the USA:

1. Molly Norris, who had the idea of an "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day", has changed her name and gone into hiding. The FBI says it cannot protect her. Where is the outcry from journalists that freedom of the press is under siege? When the fatwa came out with a death sentence for Salmon Rushdie, journalists were outraged. Now they accept it.

2. Where are the people standing up for the loony Florida pastor's right to burn the Koran? Protecting freedom of expression means protecting the right even to offensive expression, like burning flags, pissing on Bibles, etc. When the president etc. got involved to convince this pastor not to burn the Koran, in effect they are enforcing the idea that Islam should be treated better than other religions are. That is Sharia all over.

3. During the Danish cartoon controversy, most American newspapers declined to reprint the cartoons, even though they did show representations of artwork that is offensive to Christians. Again, Islam gets special treatment, just as it does in an Islamic state. Violent intimidation works.

Muslims are succeeding, bit by bit, in enforcing their Sharia laws against blasphemy in the USA. Don't think for one minute that we've seen the end of it.

Those examples don't impress

Those examples don't impress me much. The FBI is incapable of protecting much of anyone from much of anything, regardless of the simpleton crap we're spoon fed by the boob tube. The FBI is uninterested in identity theft, corporate negligence or fraud, or much of anything else that requires courage or talent to prosecute.

I'm pretty sure the nutty moonbeam guy from Florida did what he was going to do with the Koran. The fact that our corporate media is too gutless to push against Islamic terrorists in this country is no surprise, either. They don't even have the guts to ridicule Limbaugh or the rest of Faux News.

Penn State student artist

Penn State student artist Joshua Stulman created an art exhibit satirizing Islamic terror. Penn State censored it. Graz College later scheduled the exhibit, then canceled it because they were afraid of a terrorist attack.

Speech that is deemed "offensive to Muslims" is being censored. That is Sharia. People who have offended Muslims are living in hiding. That is Sharia.

None of that censorship was

None of that censorship was because of any laws. It was because of fear. Nobody said that people and groups aren't modifying their behavior because of fear. We drastically altered the way we travel because of fear. We invaded two countries because of fear. We took countless liberties away from citizens because of fear. The government intercepts all our communications because of fear.

Sharia law isn't doing any of this stuff to us. We (mainly conservatives I might add, but most Democrats went along with it) are doing this to ourselves. That is the purpose of terrorism, and it works here very well because we are so susceptible to fear. The Republican Party is based on greed and fear, as is Faux News and the rest of the right-wing establishment.

If you don't want "Sharia law" whatever that means to you, taking over our country, then learn to deal with your fear. Whether you become too afraid to offend a terrorist or too afraid to let people keep their civil liberties, you are basing your decisions on your fear. There is nothing wrong with fear, just don't let it control you.

Funny, isn't it, and not so

Funny, isn't it, and not so funny: right-wing whackadoodles not understanding irony!

The irony is that our

The irony is that our children will be left to deal with it if we don't. Anyone who wants to immigrate here can providing they are not an unpleasant character (def. TBD by those in power at the time). Just don't bring any laws with you that impinge on our constitutional guarantees and Bill of Rights. Pull your head out of whatever dark hole you've got it stuck in. Our government plays blind man when they rear a violent social response. They are appeasers to all but their citizenry.

Why worry about their Sharia

Why worry about their Sharia when we already have our own? Law Number One: money is God.
So, when Saudis who admitted fully aiding and abetting the 911 terrorists were allowed to simply go home, we were merely obeying that primary directive of our US Sharia.
The Saudis already control enough US currency and are invested enormously in "American" corporations to the point that they can tell the government what they can and cannot do.
Simply Google these two names, Omar al Bayoumi and Osama Basnan, check any site you want, and see what comes up.

This is all just political

This is all just political correctness drawn out to its ultimate and absurd limits. Too many people take themselves way too seriously, leaving absolutely no room for error, (much less a sense of humor) for the rest of us. If everything is sacred, nothing is funny. Guess what, folks? Nothing is sacred, but everyone is scared.

13:39 Anonymous, Nothing

13:39 Anonymous,

Nothing that you have said in your response makes a bit of sense. You have to understand what you are saying before anyone else can. Did you also compose the 1:45 opinion? It seems that you could be responding to its subsequent entries. If you are the writer I have some advise for you: try to say only things that make sense logically. I think that you write very well, but it is just "hog wash " if not logical. Try and learn something from T Day, Brian and 12: 54 anonymous; they all gave great responses to 1:45.

14:29 says, "Why worry about

14:29 says, "Why worry about their Sharia when we already have our own?" This implies that Western laws and Sharia are more or less the same. If you really believe this, please move to Saudi Arabia or Iran.

06:25 YES! That is my point

06:25 YES! That is my point exactly. We have Sharia law IN EFFECT because of fear. People "voluntarily" modify their behavior to fit the mandates of Sharia, not because of our laws, but because we already have Sharia law enforced on the street.

If we already are modifying our behavior out of fear with a very small Muslim population, then in the near future we can expect to have zones where women wear headscarves (out of fear) like they already do in many places in Europe.

This fear has already caused our President to advocate self-censorship rather than exercising First Amendment rights with regards to the Koran burning. You are kidding yourselves if you think this same fear will not ultimately be used to create laws giving Islam a "special" status. "Hate speech" laws, which are essentially Sharia blasphemy laws, are already on the table.

You have to laugh at these

You have to laugh at these anonymous posters, who have absolutely no idea of what Sharia is, going on about it. If you didn't laugh, you would have to cry at their ignorance.

But when they bloviate about what they think Sharia is, what they describe is Biblical based law under a different name. This is the very system of law that they want to install here in the US, that Bachmann and Angle among many others, have been calling for. What they object to is the name, not the substance.
