Victoria Harper

Victoria is Truthout's Managing Editor and has worked at Truthout for more than six years. Prior to joining Truthout, she taught Teacher Education at San Jose State University, focusing on methods of creating more democratic classrooms and encouraging curriculum approaches that foster the nurturing of a democratic citizenry. While at SJSU, Victoria created the Academy for Critical Research: a home for students and faculty working to better understand the intersection of politics and education. She is committed to furthering the goal of helping to build an informed citizenry by providing an independent forum focused on issues of social justice and a critical analysis of the issues of the day.
