Dick, the "any fool can carry heat" law is what can be classified as "Stupid". Is Jerrod L. related to you?

The prior must-issue concealed permit process REQUIRED an FBI background check. Which would undoubtedly have picked up the many prior police contacts with this disturbed person. I'd like to think that a good background check would have picked up the other behaviors that warned of mental instability. Don't know about that.

The new law is not the cause of the tragedy, but is a symptom of the RW "illogical-logic" that the AZ politicians thrive on. Increasingly, this is seen on a national level. Helps to explain the last 12 to 15yrs of spiral we (who don't mainline hate radio) have witnessed domestically and on the world stage.

The total lack of accountability fostered by the RW and the 'baggers and churned by the main $tream media has essentially determined that our nation is no longer governable by rational means. Force, Fear, Suspicion and Outrage seem to be all we know anymore.

Not going to be a fun ride.
